HARCA Best of Roofing Awards Program
The program was created to bring annual recognition to HARCA Contractors Members and their Associate partners on those projects. These members will be recognized by their peers for their outstanding work each year in the following categories.
Outstanding Residential and Commercial Projects: Three awards will be presented in each of these categories, Residential & Commercial Roofing Projects. Your entry could be based on logistical challenges, quality workmanship, uniqueness, difficulty, time constraints, innovative solutions, safety challenges, or anything else you feel caused your projects to be unique.
ELIGIBILITY:
1. The applying contractor must be a member in good standing with HARCA
2. Projects must be completed between January 1, 2023 and December 31, 2023
3. The DEADLINE FOR AWARD APPLICATIONS is February 16, 2024
ENTRY PREPARATION:
Your entry/application will consist of the following items:
1. Entries for either category, commercial or residential, must be made separately and ONLY ONE APPLICATION FOR EACH CATEGORY WILL BE ACCEPTED.
2. Submit the online application for each project using the button below. Provide as much detail as possible when describing what made this job or jobs so that it should be considered for the Best of Roofing Awards.
2. Photographs and any other supporting documents are required for the job being considered for an award.
3. Provide 5-15 high resolution photos and/or documents in a .zip file (.zip file instructions can be found here). Before and after photos are encouraged but not necessarily required. The photos must show the awareness of safety when recording their activities. If the project requires fall protection; it should be used. There should be no ladders not tied off, the site should be in order, and the workers should be equipped with personal protective equipment (PPE) as called for given the task at hand. DO NOT SUBMIT PHOTOS WITH YOUR COMPANY LOGO ON THEM OR THEY WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.
To ensure that the judges understand the extent of the project being submitted, please provide a DETAILED answer to as many of the following questions as you can. The experts selected to review your submission will be looking at the pictures and reading through ALL information you are providing here, so the details are critical. Sometimes pictures cannot capture everything installed on a roof system, so explaining the entire system will be very helpful. This would include everything from the products / waterproofing used, flashing details, installation process, logistics on procuring, loading, and installing the roof system, and safety challenges and time restraints set by your client or changes due to inclement weather. Describe any challenges you faced and overcame during the project that will help them better understand why your project should be a winner of one of this year’s Best of Roofing Awards.
WHAT HAPPENS TO ENTRIES?
1. Entries are screened to verify eligibility.
2. Recognized industry experts serve as judges and evaluate each entry.
3. The highest-ranking entries in each category will determine the winners of the Best Roof Awards
4. The decisions of the judges are final and scores for individual entries will not be disclosed.
5. Failure to follow the application instruction will cause your entry to be disqualified.
